Extending across three floors (basement, ground floor and first floor), the manor house comprises a dining room, a kitchen, 6 bedrooms (sleeping a total of 11), six bathrooms, a billiard room, a garden and a private swimming pool. Featuring wonderful 19th-century Tuscan period furnishings throughout, it comes complete with a range of appliances.

The Villa Castel d'Acone, constructed and reconstructed over the centuries, occupies the site of an ancient castle that was transformed into a manor house by the Cerchi family, whose presence at Acone is recorded by Dante in the Divine Comedy. Sadly, the fortress tower – in which the Blessed Umiliana lived a hermetic life – is no longer extant. The manor house subsequently belonged to the Florentine families of the Fontebuoni and the Gondi, and is currently owned by the Spagnoli family.
The manor house's garden plays host to the ancient private chapel dedicated to the Blessed Umiliana de’ Cerchi.
In the 13th century, the noble House of Cerchi was created in Acone and subsequently moved to Florence. Castel d'Acone was the family's first residence. The Cerchis, along with Acone itself, are mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy. The surrounding farmhouses are notable for their Renaissance architecture.
